Changing Cartridges on Whole House Water Filters
Like the OmniFilter U25.
(Is your tank stuck? See below)

 CARTRIDGE CHANGE
Procedures for cartridge change:

1) Close water shut off valve.
2) Depress pressure relief button (If equipped) for three seconds or open the nearest cold water faucet to remove pressure.
3) Place a bucket or pan directly below the filter.
4) Remove tank (Using Omni filter tank wrench) move wrench from right to left if facing the unit, or turn canister clockwise looking down from the top (or counter clockwise looking up from the bottom) and discard used filter.
5) Insert new cartridge into tank.
6) Lubricate O-ring with a food grade grease. Re-attach tank to filter housing making certain o-ring is in place and hand tighten.
7) Open water valve.
8) Depress pressure release button or open nearest cold water faucet to remove air from the system.
9) Turn on faucet for approximately 10 minutes to flush the system.

Changing Cartridges on Whole House Water Filters
Is Your Tank Stuck?

HINT:
Water deposits may build up between the canister and the housing on top and make it hard to loosen the canister.
If you try lightly tapping around the top where it screws into the top this will sometimes loosen the deposit and allow you to turn the canister.
If this does not work try taking a blow dryer and blowing it on the top of the unit. The heat will soften the deposits and allow for opening.

Because of the products limited service life and to prevent costly repairs or possible water damage, we strongly recommend that the bottom of all plastic housings be replaced every ten years. If the bottom of your housing has been in use for longer than this period, it should be replaced immediately. Date the bottom of any new or replacement housing to indicate the next recommended replacement date.
